Be a Patron

Contribute to the conservation of unique habitat and help critically endangered species survive.

Become a Patron of Round the Bend Conservation Co-operative.

Since colonisation we have lost 30 mammal species and 29 bird species in Australia*. We have the highest mammal extinction rate in the world and 17 unique birds and mammals are likely to disappear in the next 20 years*. So, it's more important than ever that we protect our bush and advocate for conservation.

*The Threatened Species Recovery Hub

Here on the Co-op, we're on a mission to protect the habitat and biodiversity of this key section of the Warrandyte-Kinglake Conservation Corridor, home of endangered and threatened species such as the Powerful Owl, the White-throated Nightjar and the Brush-tailed Phascogale. Our work is guided by expert advice and is carried out by our Members and Friends.

As a sustainability activist-scholar, I regard the community-based conservation goals and achievements of RTBCC as highly significant both in their direct impacts and as a model for other regions and other communities.

Being a Patron is a fantastic opportunity to support a substantial and enduring residential neighbourhood that protects local biodiversity, enhances species' habitats and nurtures ecological integrity.

I consider being a Patron represents just a little that I can do to assist the Co-op survive and thrive, and by so doing, support responsible environmental action in our beautiful Australian bushland.
